IDENTIFYING INVERSION and EVERSION
When ligaments are stretched beyond their normal limits, ankle injuries, of various degrees result. Two types of ankle injuries, known as INVERSION and EVERSION, affect ankle joints that are stretched excessively to the sides. See the images below that graphically demonstrate INVERSION and EVERSION.
INVERSION occurs in more than 90% of the cases. Inversion occurs when the foot rolls over so that the sole of the foot increasingly faces the opposing foot. The SPRAIN-GUARD™ is normally configured to limit inversion.
EVERSION* rarely occurs. Eversion occurs when the foot rolls outwards, with the sole of the foot increasingly facing away from the other foot. By making special arrangements with us, we can configure the SPRAIN-GUARD™ to your shoe so that it limits eversion. See details below images.

*SPRAIN-GUARD™ SUPPORT TO LIMIT EVERSION
The SPRAIN-GUARD™ is normally attached to the lateral (outer) side of the shoe to limit INVERSION.
IN SPECIAL CASES, THE SPRAIN-GUARD™ CAN BE CONFIGURED TO LIMIT EVERSION.
If you need to protect against EVERSION (again, this is RARE ), call us at (845) 233-4713, to make special arrangements. Please call us BEFORE sending us your order in these cases.
Prices and conditions for EVERSION installations are the same as for the standard installation for inversion.
