DORSI-STRAP

Information in the X-STRAP.COM website and in related forms, brochures and user instructions is intended to assist potential customers in making purchase decisions when selecting our products without medical advice. The website and related publications only contain general information about products offered for sale by X-STRAP® SYSTEMS. Under no circumstances should this information be interpreted as medical diagnosis, opinion or advice, which must only be provided by licensed medical providers. A doctor's opinion should be sought prior to using any orthopedic device.

The DORSI-STRAP™ functions as an ankle foot orthosis (AFO) designed to reduce symptoms resulting from foot drop, by lifting the forefoot only. No support is provided in other directions normally part of ankle joint range of motion. Prior to initial use, the DORSI-STRAP™ must be attached by the user to a shoe that has lace holes, as described in the manufacturer’s User Instructions. Once installed in a shoe, the DORSI-STRAP™ can be left attached to the shoe for repeated use, or it may be user-transferred easily and quickly to another shoe by following directions in the manufacturer’s User Instructions.

THE DORSI-STRAP™ PROVIDES ONLY DORSI-FLEXION SUPPORT FOR THE FOOT. NOT FOR USE WITH BOOTS, HIGH-TOP SHOES OR HIGH-HEEL SHOES. IF ANY MEDICAL CONDITION OTHER THAN FOOT DROP EXISTS, GET PHYSICIAN’S APPROVAL PRIOR TO USE. THE STANDARD DORSI-STRAP™ IS DESIGNED FOR WALKING, NOT FOR VIGOROUS ACTIVITIES.

THE HEAVY-DUTY DORSI-STRAP™ PRO SUPPORTS MORE VIGORIUS ACTIVITES, SUCH AS JOGGING. THE DORSI-STRAP™ PRO MAY BE USED WITH STREET SHOES AS WELL AS WITH LACE-UP BOOTS AND WITH LOW, MID OR HIGH-TOP ATHLETIC SHOES. USERS ENGAGED IN MORE VIGOROUS ACTIVITIES SHOULD TAKE REASONABLE CARE TO AVOID FALLING OR TRIPPING ACCIDENTS. DURING VIGOROUS ACTIVITIES THE DORSI-STRAP™ PRO MAY SHIFT DOWNWARDS, THEREBY REDUCING DORSI-FLEXION SUPPORT, AND REQUIRING ADJUSTMENT OF THE STRAPS.

Effectiveness and comfort are determined by how this device is applied. To avoid skin irritation from the cuff, this device should only be used while wearing socks that reach at least 6” above the ankle bones. The DORSI-STRAP™ cuff must be put on as shown in the user Instructions, and only the manufacturer’s strap wrapping pattern should be used to apply the straps around the cuff. The straps, which can be user-set to provide varying levels of forefoot lift, should be adjusted as needed for support, but not over-tightened. In order to maximize safety and comfort, the level of support provided must be tested each time either or both of the straps are adjusted, as described in the DORSI-STRAP™ User Instructions.

The amount of continuous time the DORSI-STRAP™ can be worn comfortably will vary by individual. New users of the DORSI-STRAP™ should experiment to determine the best personal schedule. If discomfort occurs, use of this device should be discontinued temporarily.

Although durable, the DORSI-STRAP™ fabric components will wear over time. Periodically (weekly), for safety, comfort and appearance, the user should inspect the device components, and the components’ attachments to the shoe, to identify and make repairs, if needed. If the device components are worn beyond the point of repair, the worn DORSI-STRAP™ should be replaced with a new one. X-STRAP® SYSTEMS, the manufacturer of the DORSI-STRAP™, cannot control the design, materials, workmanship or condition of the shoe, which is supplied by the customer. We, therefore, will NOT be responsible for any damage, injuries or product failure resulting from failure of the shoe material where a DORSI-STRAP™ has been attached to the shoe. Any alteration of a DORSI-STRAP™ component, or any application other than that illustrated and discussed in manufacturer’s User Instructions is a misuse or misapplication of the device. X-STRAP® SYSTEMS, the manufacturer, will not be liable for injuries or damages from misuse or misapplication of the device.

WASHING INSTRUCTIONS

Straps and cuffs can be hand-washed in cold water and mild detergent. After washing, rinse thoroughly in cold water. Lay flat to dry.

DORSI-LITE

Information in the X-STRAP.COM website and in related forms, brochures and User Instructions is intended to assist potential customers in making purchase decisions when selecting our products without medical advice. A doctor's opinion should be sought prior to using any orthopedic device.

The DORSI-LITE™ Foot Splint ankle foot orthosis (AFO) in Adult and Children's Sizes, provides dorsi-flexion support, and stabilization of the foot, and helps maintain the foot in a neutral position while at rest. This device is used with or without shoes, using your own regular size shoes (for most daily activities and as a comfortable night splint in bed, or when reclining). The DORSI-LITE™ is water-compatible, and may be used for bathing, swimming and hydrotherapy. The Adult size DORSI-LITE™ fits either foot, sizes 5 - 13 (US), 35-45 (EU). The children's size DORSI-LITE™ fits foot sizes 2-13(US), 17-31(EU).

THE DORSI-LITE™ SHOULD NOT BE USED FOR VIGOROUS ACTIVITIES.
IF USED WITH SHOES, DO NOT USE THE LOWER STRAP. NEVER USE THE DORSI-LITE™ WITH TIGHT OR SNUG SHOES.
If pulmonary or circulation problems, or any medical conditions affecting the foot/ankle, other than foot drop, exist, get a physician's or therapist's approval prior to using the DORSI-LITE™.

The DORSI-LITE must be put on as shown in the User Instructions. Only the manufacturer’s strap wrapping pattern should be used to apply the strap and cuff, which can be user-set to provide varying levels of support, and should be adjusted for a slightly snug fit, but NOT over-tightened. When used with shoes, do not over-tighten the shoe. Tight shoes do not increase support. Support provided must be tested each time the strap or cuff is adjusted, as described in the DORSI-LITE™ User Instructions. The amount of continuous time the DORSI- LITE™ can be worn comfortably will vary by individual. New users of the DORSI-LITE™ should experiment to determine the best personal schedule. Use of this device should be discontinued temporarily if discomfort occurs. The DORSI-LITE™ is self-centering, but may require occasional adjustment.

Although durable, the DORSI-LITE fabric components will wear over time. Periodically (weekly), the user should inspect the device components to identify and make repairs, if needed. Worn components should be replaced with new ones. Any unauthorized alteration of a DORSI-LITEcomponent, or any application other than that illustrated and discussed in manufacturer’s instructions is a misuse or misapplication of the device. X-STRAP ® SYSTEMS, the manufacturer, will not be liable for injuries or damages from misuse or misapplication of the device.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS ONLY hand-wash the DORSI-LITE’s™ fabric components. Remove the fabric components from the plastic spine, squeeze gently in cold water and mild laundry detergent. Lay flat to air dry.

Following use in water, remove fabric components from spine, squeeze to remove excess moisture, press flat between a folded towel to remove additional moisture. Lay flat to air dry.

DYNAMIC-ARM-SLING

Information in the X-STRAP.COM website, and in related sites, pages, forms, brochures, and in any other documentation, is intended to assist potential customers in making purchase and application decisions when selecting our products without medical advice. The website and related publications only contain general information about orthopedic products offered by X-STRAP® SYSTEMS.
Under no circumstances should this information be interpreted as medical diagnosis, opinion or advice, which must only be provided by licensed medical providers. A doctor's or therapist's opinion should be sought prior to using any orthopedic device, including the DYNAMIC-ARM-SLING.

ATTENTION!
The DYNAMIC-ARM-SLING (D-A-S) provides comfortable, consistent support, with great ease of entry and exit, and does not immobilize the arm. Users who have any medical, safety or comfort issue with the shoulder, or the arm, or who plan to use the D-A-S together with a cast or with another type of brace, should get a doctor's or a therapist's authorization prior to using this device. The DYNAMIC-ARM-SLING is NOT designed to provide support for the hand or the wrist. A break-in period of a few hours will ensure maximum comfort and familiarity.

D-A-S users should NOT participate in vigorous activities. The ACTION BAND, which comes with the D-A-S, can be used optionally to help maintain an active user's arm in position in the sling during normal daily activities. Excessive force may cause the arm to shift in the D-A-S, possibly affecting support and comfort.

The D-A-S must be put on as shown in the User Instructions. Only the Manufacturer's method of application is authorized. This device, which can be used with either arm, can be set to provide varying levels of support. Any unauthorized alteration of a D-A-S component, or any application other than that illustrated and discussed in Manufacturer's User Instructions is a misuse or misapplication of the device. X-STRAP® SYSTEMS, the Manufacturer of the D-A-S, will not be liable for damages resulting from misuse or misapplication of the D-A-S.

The amount of continuous time the D-A-S can be worn will vary by individual. We recommend a few hours of use to achieve maximum familiarity and comfort. New users of the D-A-S should experiment to determine the best personal schedule. If discomfort occurs, use of the device should be discontinued temporarily.
The D-A-S may require occasional adjustment for optimal support and comfort.

IMPORTANT SAFETY AND COMFORT FACTS YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT

  • The DYNAMIC-ARM-SLING can be worn either over or under a coat or jacket.
  • Clothes of varying thickness may require the D-A-S length to be adjusted.
  • Only one side of the DYNAMIC-ARM-SLING's fabric can be used to make a Velcro® connection.
  • After sizing the D-A-S, excess material may optionally be trimmed off.
  • For larger size individuals, an Extension Strap is available.
  • The DYNAMIC-ARM-SLING can be used without the Comfort Pad.
  • Medical circumstances requiring the forearm to be slung higher or lower than level can be satisfied.
  • The Action Band can be used optionally to help maintain the user's arm in position in the D-A-S.

CARE INFORMATION

WASHING: ONLY HAND-WASH the DYNAMIC-ARM-SLING's fabric components. Squeeze fabric components in cold water with mild detergent. Rinse detergent out thoroughly. DO NOT WRING.
FOLLOWING WASHING, OR USE IN WATER: Squeeze the D-A-S components to remove excess moisture, press flat between a folded towel to remove additional moisture. Lay flat to air dry.

SPRAIN-GUARD

Information in the X-STRAP.COM website (and in related forms, brochures, user instructions, etc.) is intended to assist potential customers in making purchase decisions when selecting our products without medical advice. This website only contains general information about products offered for sale by X-STRAP® SYSTEMS Under no circumstances should this information be interpreted as medical diagnosis, opinion or advice, which must only be provided by licensed medical providers. A doctor's opinion should be sought prior to using any orthopedic device.

No prophylactic device for the ankle, including the SPRAIN-GUARD™, can keep the user injury-free in all cases. The SPRAIN-GUARD™ is designed to lessen injury severity. Effectiveness and comfort are determined by how this device is applied. Prior to initial use, the device must be professionally attached to the shoe by X-STRAP® SYSTEMS, or its representative. This device must be put on only as described in the manufacturer's instructions, including the testing of stability provided, following each application, or each adjustment of one or both straps. With the exception of special orders, this device is configured to be effective against INVERSION of the foot ONLY. This device should not be used on any part of the body except the ankle. Any alteration of a SPRAIN-GUARD™ component, or any application other than that illustrated and discussed in manufacturer's instructions is a misuse or misapplication of the device. X-STRAP® SYSTEMS, the manufacturer, will not be liable for injuries or damages from misuse or misapplication of the device.

As per customer instructions provided on the Order Form, X-STRAP® SYSTEMS, (We), will professionally attach, via stitching and/or tacking, a SPRAIN-GUARD™ of the requested color to a shoe provided by the customer. We will NOT be responsible for ANY damage to the shoe as a result of attachment, removal or use of the device.
X-STRAP® SYSTEMS, the manufacturer of the SPRAIN-GUARD™, cannot control the design, materials, workmanship or condition of the shoe, which is supplied by the customer. If we suspect that the shoe is not compatible with the SPRAIN-GUARD™, and may therefore reduce the effectiveness of the device, we will return the entire order, unfilled, with a written explanation. Even in cases when a customer's shoe appears to be compatible with the SPRAIN-GUARD™, we cannot know for certain that the interface is safe initially, or that it will remain safe over time. We, therefore, will NOT be responsible for any damage or for any injuries resulting from failure of the shoe material where the SPRAIN-GUARD™ has been attached to the shoe. X-STRAP® SYSTEMS will not be responsible for damage or injury resulting from use of the SPRAIN-GUARD™ except to individuals identified as the "User" on the SPRAIN-GUARD™ Order Form.

To avoid skin irritation, this device should only be used while wearing socks. Only the manufacturer's strap wrapping pattern should be used to apply the straps around the cuff. The straps, which can be user-adjusted to provide support ranging from null to very stiff, should be adjusted as needed for a secure, comfortable fit, but not over-tightened. In order to maximize safety and comfort, the level of support provided must be tested each time either or both of the straps are adjusted, as described in Manufacturer's User Instructions. If discomfort occurs, use of this device should be discontinued temporarily. For maximum safety, SPRAIN-GUARD™ users who use several pairs of shoes for athletic activities should consider having the SPRAIN-GUARD™ attached to each pair of shoes.

Although durable, the SPRAIN-GUARD™ fabric components will show signs of wear over time. Periodically (approximately every other week), the user should inspect the device components, and the components' attachments to the shoe, to identify and make repairs, if needed. X-STRAP® SYSTEMS, Inc., will make repairs to the device and to the attachments, at no charge, if the shoe with the attached SPRAIN-GUARD™ is sent to us within one year of the original Shipping Date. We will NOT make any repairs to shoes.

A new SPRAIN-GUARD™ will normally outlast the shoe it is attached to, and can be professionally transferred to another shoe. Since our attachment method is of a semi-permanent nature, and proper attachment is critical for user protection and comfort, device transfers should NOT be made by the customer. To have a SPRAIN-GUARD™ transferred safely, we offer a device transfer service, at a nominal cost.
