INSURANCE REIMBURSEMENT PROCESSING

At X-Strap® Systems, we design, manufacture and sell the most effective and comfortable orthopedic devices. Unfortunately, we do not process claims for insurance reimbursements for our customers for items sold by us.

To assist you in filing a claim, however, either personally or through your doctor, we provide, upon request, “paid” invoices for items purchased.

Most customers rely on their doctors to submit the proper forms to their private insurance carrier or Medicare for full or partial reimbursement. But no matter who files the claim, the claim submission must include:


1. A written prescription, signed by your doctor, which reads, in part:

"X-STRAP DORSI-STRAP FOR FOOT DROP", or “X-STRAP DORSI-LITE FOOT SPLINT” or “X-STRAP SPRAIN-GUARD FOR ANKLES”, or "DYNAMIC-ARM-SLING".


2. Also required, is a copy of a paid invoice. X-Strap® Systems supplies these, on request, because your insurance provider may not be familiar with the configuration of your device, and needs to apply the correct insurance code (L-Code) for proper reimbursement. Our invoices contain the L-Code and other information required for reimbursement.


3. In addition, you must submit the necessary claim form(s), as required by the insurer.


The insurer makes the final decision as to whether or not all or part of the claim will be paid.

When you call Medicare, have your Medicare number handy, as well as the following information: your current address, the state in which you live, and your date of birth.
