USING THE DORSI-STRAP WITH SHOES THAT DO NOT HAVE LACE HOLES

THESE DIRECTIONS APPLY TO BOTH THE STANDARD DORSI-STRAP™ AND THE DORSI-STRAP PRO™.

Only shoes made of sturdy materials, such as leather or reinforced canvas should be used. X-STRAP® SYSTEMS, the manufacturer of the DORSI-STRAP™, cannot control the design, materials, workmanship or condition of the shoe, which is supplied by the customer. Neither can we control how or where holes may be punched into the shoe’s upper, or into its straps. Thus, X-STRAP® SYSTEMS will NOT be responsible for any damage, injuries or product failure resulting from attachment and/or use of the Dorsi-Strap™ with any shoe, boot or sandal. To punch the holes safely, use of a leather punch is recommended.

A. SANDALS

Put the sandal on, and mark two points, 3/4 inch apart, at each side of the strap closest to the toe-end of the sandal. Use Fig. A as a guide. NOTE: if the strap is adjustable, where its two sections overlap, holes should only be punched in the upper strap. Remove the sandal and punch a hole at each marked point. At each side, lace the shoelace end of a DORSI-STRAP™ strap through hole A, from the outside in, then pull it out of the corresponding hole B, on the same side of the sandal. The two shoelace ends coming out of the B holes are tied together on the outside of the strap, following the standard directions.

B. SHOES WITH STRAP CLOSURES

Using Fig. B as a guide, mark one point at each side of the shoe upper. Place the marks clear of the lower strap, closer to the toe end of the shoe, as shown. Punch a hole at each marked point, and lace a DORSI-STRAP™ strap through each hole, from the outside in. Pull the shoelace ends out of the central slit in the shoe upper, and tie the shoelace ends together on the outside of the shoe, following the standard directions.

C. SHOES WITH ONE-PIECE UPPERS

(SLIP-ONS, LOAFERS, BOOTS

Work carefully! A leather punch may not reach the marked points. Mark two points at each side of the shoe upper, 3/4 inch apart, approximately as shown in Fig. C. Rigid material that forms the shoe’s toe box will be difficult to punch holes through, so ensure that your marks avoid that area. Punch holes at the marked points.

At each side, lace the shoelace end of a DORSI-STRAP™ strap through hole A, from the outside in, then pull it out of the corresponding hole B on the same side of the shoe. The two shoelace ends coming out of the B holes are tied together on the outside of the shoe, following the standard directions.
